How do I enter my WinZip software registration code?

Note: Most individually licensed (i.e., single-user, not multi-user) copies of WinZip^® software have a registration code. However, our site also provides information on how to register a multi-user license using a registration file.

Entering your WinZip registration code

1. Start WinZip.
2. Enter your name and registration code EXACTLY as they appear on your registration acknowledgment email or on the WinZip CD case and click Register.

The next time you run WinZip, the registration reminder screen will not be displayed, and your name and registration code will appear in the About box. Be sure to keep your registration code on file should you need to re-install WinZip.

Entering your WinZip E-Mail Companion registration code

1. Install WinZip E-Mail Companion.
2. Open the Programs menu and select Register WinZip E-Mail Companion from the WinZip E-Mail Companion menu.
3. Enter your name and registration code exactly as they appear on your registration acknowledgment e-mail or on the WinZip E-Mail Companion CD case and click OK.

Entering your WinZip Self-Extractor registration code

1. Install and run WinZip Self-Extractor.
2. Click Enter Registration Code on the initial WinZip Self-Extractor screen OR while holding the Shift key on your keyboard, click About.
3. Enter your name and registration code EXACTLY as they appear on your registration acknowledgment email or on the WinZip Self-Extractor CD case and click OK.

Obtaining the current evaluation versions of WinZip, WinZip E-Mail Companion and WinZip Self-Extractor

The latest evaluation versions are available from the WinZip Download Page and WinZip Self-Extractor Download Page. You can install them and then use the instructions above to enter your registration codes to convert them to registered versions.

Note: Registration codes are version dependent and usually change with major version upgrades. For example, a registration code for WinZip 10 will not register the evaluation version of WinZip 11.
